Stefan Kurpas Memorial Cup 2026
The Stefan Kurpas Memorial will take place on 20th June 2026 at the British Wrestling Academy in Salford, Manchester. Organised by Oleg Druzhynets, this major event brings together young wrestlers from across the UK and overseas to compete in a high-level, professionally run tournament.
The competition is open to U8, U11, U14 and U17 age groups (Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling). Younger athletes will be matched on the day in line with British Wrestling guidance, while U17 categories
follow official weight divisions and standard competition rules.
The event will run across two sessions:
Morning session (U8 & U11): 9:30 am – 12:30 pm
Afternoon session (U14 & U17): 1:00 pm – 4:30 pm
Weigh-ins:
U8 & U11: 8:00 am – 8:30 am
U14 & U17: 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm
With up to 150 entries across 2 mats, this tournament offers excellent competitive experience, medals for top performers, and awards for the best wrestlers of each session.

Juniors Inter-Club Wrestling Competition
10th April 2026 – City of Manchester Wrestling Kids Interclub Series
The City of Manchester Wrestling Club Kids Interclub Series will take place on 10th April 2026 at the British Wrestling Academy. This event is organised by City of Manchester Wrestling Club and provides young wrestlers with valuable competition experience in a structured and supportive environment.
The competition is open to the following age groups: U8, U11, U14 and U17 (Freestyle and Women’s Wrestling). Younger age groups will be matched on the day according to British Wrestling guidance (within 10% body weight) to ensure fair and safe bouts.
For U8, U11 and U14, bouts will consist of:
1 × 2 minute round (no pins or scoring)
1 × 90 second round (pins and scoring apply)
For U17 athletes, matches will follow standard competition rules:
2 × 2 minute rounds (10-point technical superiority)
Weigh-in: 6.30 pm
Number of mats: 2 mats (maximum 50 entries)
Entry fee: £15 payable on the day (no refunds)
Entry deadline: Wednesday before the event (48 hours prior)

24th April 2026 – City of Manchester Wrestling Seniors Interclub Series
The City of Manchester Wrestling Seniors Interclub Series will be held on 24th April 2026 at the British Wrestling Academy. Organised by City of Manchester Wrestling Club, this event gives senior athletes aged 18+ the chance to gain match experience, test their skills, and compete in a friendly but competitive environment.
Competition Details:
Age Group: Seniors 18+ (Freestyle)
Weight Categories: 57, 61, 65, 70, 74, 79, 86, 92, 97, 125 kg (+2kg tolerance)
Match Format:
Round 1: 2 minutes continual wrestling (pins and points do not count)
Round 2: 90 seconds (pins and points count)
Round Duration: 2 × 3-minute rounds / 10 points
Weigh-in: 6.30 pm
Number of mats: 2 mats (maximum 50 entries)
Entry fee: £15 payable on the day (no refunds)
